*DISCLAIMER: these are not for the faint hearted!
There's nothing I love more than getting together with the girls and enjoying a cocktail or two. Over the years I have increased my drinks based knowledge to know that I will always enjoy anything gin or prosecco based. Imagine my delight when I came across a combination of the two!
This gin based cocktail, with a Prosecco top up, is refreshing and tastes just like summer. Perfect for an evening with your favourite people; when you want to impress but don't want to spend hours in the kitchen ending up covered in sugar and syrup. Short, sweet and simple...
2 parts gin (I used Bombay Sapphire)
1 part Elderflower cordial
Prosecco to top up
Fresh mint to garnish
Blueberries to garnish
1. Choose your favourite, show stopping glasses, these tumblers are just gorgeous with a hint of vintage and only £6 from Anthropologie!
2. Pour two parts of gin and one part of elderflower cordial into a cocktail shaker* with ice and shake until well mixed.
3. Pour into your glass and top up with Prosecco.
4. Garnish with fresh mint and blueberries and serve to your guests.
*If you don't own a cocktail shaker, simply pour straight into your glass and stir before adding the Prosecco.
What's your favourite summer drink?
