LA LA LAND

IN LOS ANGELES, EVERYONE IS A STAR

LOS ANGELES IS LIKE A BEAUTY PARLOUR AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE

I'M HAVING TOO MUCH FUN TODAY, TO WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW

Los Angeles is one of the coolest cities I have ever visited and it is my dream to live there at some point in my life...in particular right on Santa Monica beach, it's not asking too much is it?

LA has come a long way since the hedonistic way of the 80s, with a relaxed, super (and I mean super) healthy vibe rippling through the wind. As soon as you step off the plane, putting your almost crippling jet lag aside, you feel 'chilled', desperate for a green juice and a hike up the Hollywood Hills, which by the way I would highly recommend.

On this occasion we stayed in the Mondrian hotel on Sunset Boulevard which was to die for, achingly trendy with the most sophistached pool/bar where I spent many an afternoon sipping on gin and juice tonic and a mirror that turned into a TV. More about the Mondrian to come in another blog post, if you're interested?

I'm also thinking of doing a 'top things to do whilst in Los Angeles type post', let me know if you'd like to read this also!

For now just a snapshot of my trip to the city of angels...I missed it before I had even left.

  3. Looks like you had a great time in Los Angeles. The city really gets a bad reputation sometimes. Some people associate it with smog, rude and superficial people, and really polluted. Granted yes, we do have those in SoCal, I believe Los Angeles is just like any kind of city in the world.

Growing up in Southern California, I really took LA for granted. I thought that it's always there and traffic is horrible. But as I grew older, I learned to explore and love it. The city is very special and to know more about its history and place in the world, it's really an amazing experience to see it all in person.

I can't ask for more. Everything is pretty much in LA: Beach, sun, diversity in food, people, cultures, etc. I'm glad you liked it here!
