I have been wanting to do a beauty post for awhile now but I knew my make up box needed a BIG clear out so I wanted to wait until I had gotten around to doing that. Now I am able to share with you my favourite products and the products I use daily!
(MAC Prep+Prime Primer, Clinique BB Cream, MAC Studio Finish Foundation)
This primer by MAC is amazing, I swear by it, it is fantastic under foundation and helps it to last until the minute you take it off, it also great worn by itself as it is colour correcting and blemish hiding. The studio finish foundation is a favourite of mine and I have used it for years it gives great coverage without feeling heavy and has great staying power. The Clinique BB cream is actually a very recent buy, I wanted a tinted moisturiser that was lighter for every day wear and was directed towards this product and I have to say it is fantastic. Light easy to put on with good coverage and adds colour to the skin, if your looking for a light foundation go and get matched with this.
(Benefit Throb Blusher, Benefit High Beam, BellaPierre Mineral Blusher, Benefit Coralista Blusher)
As you can see I prefer a blusher to a bronzer (unless I am on holiday and need it to match my face to my skin!) and I love the vibrant colours that Benefit have. The Throb and Coralista actually look great when mixed together, they create a stunning colour that really lifts the face. I wanted to try a mineral blusher and when I was wandering through House of Fraser I got caught by the Bellapierre team and ended up buying this blusher that is also a coral colour. I would recommend it if you are looking for a light blusher that doesn't create as strong a colour when applied. I also swear by Benefit high beam to give my face a dewy glow and highlight areas.
(Benefit Smokin Eyes Kit, Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes)
I bought these eye kits for the first time two years ago when I was going on holiday as I thought they would an ideal way to cut down on my make up bag weight and I have continued to buy them since. They are a great for a compact kit that can go in your bag and provides everything you need to create a knock out make up look. Can you recommend any non coral coloured blushers for me?
(MAC Rebel Lipstick, MAC Pink Plaid Lipstick, MAC Chilli Lipstick, Topshop Honey Lipstick, MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick)
I am a massive fan of lipstick and actually own over twenty lipsticks from MAC to Illamasqua to Dior however I wanted to share the ones that I wear the most, which you can see from how worn down they all are! As you can probably tell I like MAC lipstick, I love the matte quality that doesn't feel dry when worn and the strong vibrant colours they create. I always use a lip liner with darker colours to make sure they last all night which generally my MAC lipsticks do. Every time I go shopping I probably buy a new lipstick so please if you think there's any I will like please let me know!
Another of Benefits kits that I use is this brow one that even comes with a pair of tweezers, bonus! I prefer this method of eyebrow colouring as it doesn't create a too extreme eyebrow but simply accentuates your own. This mascara is brilliant for those times you don't have time to apply falsies!
Finally these are my three favourite perfumes that I literally couldn't live without, I am obsessed with perfume (like lipstick) and own seven different scents. Marc Jacobs Daisy is a light summery fragrance that I wear daily, Flowerbomb is a heavier scent that smells like sweets and I wear it more at night. Whilst Marc Jacobs Dot is somewhere between the two, smells incredible and I wear it on a whim. What are you favourite scents?
I hope you liked my first beauty post! I will be posting make up looks soon if your all interested.
